Whatever Shall I Wear?

I may be meeting a last-minute client tonight for dinner and dancing (or something). It is 20 degrees and slushy out.

Sexy clothes:
Short skirts (I go with knee length, shooting for class here), thin stockings with garter belt, high heels (my favorite are the Kenneth Coles in the picture, they are fabric, not leather), clingy tops of thin material, bare necks, bare arms, bare wrists, bare ears, fluffy hair, perfect makeup.

Warm/dry clothes:
Thick tights or long underwear under brown corduroys, tank top layered under long-sleeve shirt layered under heavy sweater, coat, hat, gloves, thick socks, winter hiker-y boots, scarf, chapstick and lots of it.

Houston, we have a problem.

Yes, women are at a distinct disadvantage during the extremes of weather.

I just want to know one thing, though: do you ever freelance without charging?

And how do you keep this secret from your husband?

And a thousand other questions I can think of.

Actually, I've been prodding C. to think about sleeping with someone for money once. It's a very powerful fantasy, one with disturbing and yet delicious overtones.

I think you mean do I have lovers, and the answer is yes. I have a longterm secondary relationship, a couple of intermittent lovers, and I very occasionally have a one-time thing.

I like these questions, I will blog about them :) I especially want to talk about the fantasy thing, as it's been very present in my relationship with Lover.

Well, consider me a fan, though I don't know how you balance the whole thing. Keeping secrets would kill me. Though I suspect that letting them out of the bag would also kill me.

In any case, you're very seductive because of your openness and honesty. I know it's only a blog, but I felt right away that I "know" you.

I too would really like to know a lot more about that, and whether you husband knows about that and if so how much about it. (I’d like to be the husband who knows but am prob. more psycho-sexually like the lover, though I’m only here in the story plus April.) And about the keeping it from him. Coming back late at night, phone calls, etc. (Shouldn’t you turn off the “hobby” phone whenever he’s with you so calls go to answering?)

Oh, and weather issues aside, re: classy look.

If it were me, and I move in very classy circles sometimes, I'd go for a classy but somewhat pushing it on the hot side look. I.e. a definitely noticeable more above the knee sort of look than is currently usual, but not outrageously so. Coupled with a more expensive look. (Knockoff reasonably priced expensive, unless you're escorting at some ball or other such exalted venue.) Classy but definitely hot. Balance depending on venue.

I.e. ideally you want to be one of the head turners clothes and looks wise, who still looks classy, and who no one (except maybe a particularly uptight wife or two who can't get a following), can make fun of. You want to look trophy. You don't want to blend in. Maybe to the point of "could she possibly be a high class call girl"? Maybe. Maybe not.

That's the in public fantasy look for most of the kind of client base you're looking for, I think. That's what I'd want. (NYC high end finance.)

Yeah all that may be overkill where you are and what you can/are charging and so on but that's the ideal, what to lean towards, seems to me.

*Ahem*. Well, I'd read nothing about your fashion industry background when I wrote this.

Though it was only a client's point of view set of thoughts anyway.
